Elaine  Kreissler
Elaine Kreissler, 87, longtime resident of Clinton, Missouri went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, January 10, 2015 at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Mo.

She was born August 17, 1927, in Leesville, Mo., the daughter of Carl Carleton and Edith (Albin) Carleton.

Elaine married Keith Kreissler on August 12, 1948 in Sedalia, Mo., and he survives of the home.

She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, where she was active in promoting the church missions. She also volunteered at the Henry County Museum, belonged to the bridge club, was a judge for the local art fair, was a past American Royal Queen, and was Miss Sedalia for 1945. She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo. Elaine treasured her time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed decorating her home, spending fun days at Lake of the Ozarks, and was quite skilled at crafts and painting.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, David Kreissler and his wife Robbie of Fort Worth, Texas; and one daughter, Karen Miller and her husband Greg of Lee's Summit, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jeremy Miller, Adam Miller, Micah Clifton, Warren Kreissler, and Aaron Kreissler; and seven great-grandchildren, Isabel Miller, Kaleb Miller, Olivia Clifton, Ryan Clifton, Cal Clifton, Jacob Miller, and Alayna Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Maxine Wilmarth; and two brothers, Bill Carleton and Kenneth Carleton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Clinton United Methodist Church. Dr. David Maggi will officiate. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, in the Green Room of the church. The family suggests memorial gifts to a charity of the donor's choice and may be left in care of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo.
