Obituary for Angela Marie Dodson
Angela Jones Dodson, 35, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at her home in Clinton Mo. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. on October 4, 1979, the daughter of George Jones and Lisa Spigarelli.
Angela graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School in 1997 and resided in the Kansas City area until moving to Clinton three years ago. She was a homemaker and mother of two children, a son Brandon born in 2000 and a daughter Emily born in 2005.They were the joy of her life. Angela had a great sense of humor punctuated by a terrific smile. She enjoyed horseback riding, knitting, baking and gardening, even naming some of her plants. Although she lived her entire life in the Midwest, she was an avid reader with an unbounded interest in how international politics impacted the poor and hungry throughout the world.
Survivors are one son, Brandon Dodson; one daughter, Emily Dodson; her father George Jones, Overland Park, Ks.; her mother and stepfather, Lisa and Jim Spigarelli, Leawood, Ks.; one brother, Craig Jones, Leawood Ks.; three sisters, Kelly (Freeman) Swank, La Quinta, Ca., Kristin (Jeff ) Swope, Olathe, Ks., and Anne Marie (Benjamin) Roberts, Overland Park, Ks.; one stepbrother, Mark (Missy) Spigarelli, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dino and Nadine Spigarelli and step sister, Jane Spigarelli.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
