Obituary for John C. Campbell

John C. Campbell
John C. Campbell, 64, of Clinton, Missouri died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, January 27, 2015 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.

He was born March 4, 1950 in Clinton, Mo., the son of Bobbie Lee Campbell and Adda Frances (Vanderburg) Campbell. He married Victoria (Eberting) Sell in Clinton, Mo., on November 8, 2000, and she survives of the home.

John was employed with Rival Manufacturing for 29 years, retiring in 2000 as plant manager of the Warrensburg plant. He later went to work for the Clinton Country Club as a grounds keeper, which gave him a good excuse to be at the golf course every day. He was a member of the Army National Guard, Clinton Country Club, Clinton American Legion, and a past member of the Clinton Eagles lodge. He enjoyed spending time with family, going out to eat, golfing, playing the Missouri Lottery, and was an avid Missouri Tiger fan.

In addition to his wife, surviving are one son, Jarrod Campbell and his wife Christian of Clinton, Mo.; three daughters, Jill Wareham and her husband Clint of Clinton, Mo., Stephanie Brister of Clinton, Mo., and Dr. Summer Bryant and her husband Craig of Manhattan, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Toni Brister and fiancé Sam Lucas, Joe Bryant, Sierra Wareham, Hannah Campbell, Kaydith Maddox, Caitlyn Bryant, and Sydney Wareham; three brothers, Bob Campbell and his wife Mary of Lowden, Iowa, Doug Campbell and his wife Barbara of Overland Park, Kansas, and Brian Campbell and his wife Ruth of Osceola, Mo.; three sisters, Janice Jarvis and her husband John of Windsor, Mo., Darlene Glaspy of Clinton, Mo., and Lori Mock and her husband Jeff of Blue Springs, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Bobbie Campbell in 1990, his mother Adda Campbell in 2014; one brother-in-law, Dr. Clint Glaspy; and his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Clarice Eberting.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rev. Ross Fulton officiating. Burial will be in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the John Campbell Memorial, in care of the Clinton Country Club. These donations may be left at the funeral home.
