She was born April 6, 1952, the only child of Charles Lee Ragland and Margaret Louise (Norcross) Ragland.

Debbie attended Norris Grade School. She was active in the Norris 4-H and Henry County 4-H. She attended and graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. They then moved to Holden, Mo., where she taught for half a school year before moving to Clinton, Mo., and establishing the Clinton Animal Hospital.

Debbie and Terry worked together for the first two years at the Clinton Animal Hospital until their first child, Lana, was born. A short 18 months later, their second child, Dara, was born. Debbie stayed home to raise her family and managed the book-work for Terry's office until she went back to teaching in 1985. She retired in August of 2010 after her diagnosis of cancer, having taught for a total of 29 years. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband Terry, she is survived by her daughters, Lana Christiano, her husband James, and their son Joren Christiano, of Charleston, West Virginia, and Dara Havemann, her husband Eric, and their twins Anise and Arbor Havemann of McKinney, Texas. Debbie's special times were spent with her grandchildren. Also surviving is her "other daughter," Alison (Jeffress) Blankenship, husband Ben, and their children Atiya and Hata. Debbie also has many cousins that survive her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Norcross) Ragland in 2007, and her father, Charles "Judge" Ragland in April of 2015.
